Our climate report – the foundation for reductions
COMPANIZED scope distribution 2023
It is fundamental for our work with responsibility that we keep an overview of our impact on the environment. Since 2022, we have prepared a climate report that covers scopes 1, 2, and 3. This helps us identify the areas where we can focus our efforts to reduce our CO₂ emissions.
We are now aware that scope 3 – the indirect emissions from our value chain – make up the largest share of our overall climate footprint. We are therefore taking positive steps to improve our material, production, and logistics solutions, as this is where we have the greatest opportunity to reduce both our own emissions and those of our customers most effectively.
By making the climate report, we ensure that our ESG strategy is not just ambitions, but concrete actions that make a difference.
CBAM: Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism
Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) is an important part of the EU's strategy for fighting climate change by imposing tax or levy on imported CO2-intensive goods, which means that we must be able to document and report the CO2 emissions for included products.
We take positive steps to implement and comply with the CBAM legislation, ensuring we meet the most recent climate obligations and EU regulations.
The legal requirements have a bearing on both us and our value chain. We work closely with our suppliers and help educate them on how to collect accurate data on the CO2 imprint.
Our short-term goal is to optimise our processes and uncover the carbon footprint of the included products. At the same time, we see an opportunity to fortify our work with sustainability, set new goals for reductions, and create value for both our customers and society.
EPR: Extended Producer Responsibility
We act in accordance with EU packaging legislation. The legislation is designed to promote sustainability and reduce waste by ensuring that manufacturers take responsibility for their packaging from production to disposal. In Denmark, we are a member of the collective scheme RETUR https://retur.dk/ and registered with the Danish Producer Responsibility (DPA).
What climate action does your company take?
Would you like to strengthen the climate action your company undertakes? We can help make your efforts more visible by emphasising the actual data involved. Contact Cathrine Seeger Fejerskov, who has extensive knowledge of data used for CBAM reporting, product liability, and climate accounting.
