Our role in the value chain
Companized is part of a complex, global supply chain, where both production and extraction of raw materials take place in several parts of the world.
For this reason, we always prioritise maintaining a close dialogue with our suppliers regarding transparency and traceability. Both factors are crucial for us to map our value chain and learn more about all its components.
The work with the supply chain is a continual process that we are far from completing, but it creates an awareness of how our buying decisions impact social, environmental, and economic matters throughout the chain.

Risk management and Code of Conduct
We use risk management to identify and minimise potential risks, which ensures ethical practices and behavioural codes.
We prioritise transparent and long-term collaborations; therefore, we invest a significant amount of resources in the establishment of new relationships. Before entering into any agreements, we screen and risk-assess the supplier based on social, environmental, and business relationships, as well as third-party certifications that are collected and validated.
All suppliers must comply with the Code of Conduct published by the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI Base Code) ETI Base Code | Ethical Trading Initiative as well as our Responsible Sourcing Policy.
Value creation in the collaboration
Our collaboration with both customers and suppliers is rooted in a shared goal of mutual improvement. For us, a resilient supply chain relies on transparency, open dialogue, and continuous development. We exchange knowledge to enhance processes and contribute to more comprehensive, holistic solutions.
At the same time, we actively work towards establishing long-term collaborations with our suppliers. Through our efforts, we promote transparency and foster long-term supplier relationships to strengthen sustainability and responsibility throughout the entire value chain.

Sparring and dialog
New legislation and requirements from the EU can be complex and difficult to understand, but through dialogue, knowledge sharing, and collaboration with our suppliers, we prepare together to ensure compliance.
Visits to the suppliers
Visiting our suppliers’ factories offers insight into their processes and promotes a shared professional understanding. Our face-to-face meetings also enable further dialogue and enhance our understanding of each other’s businesses and strategies. At the same time, it strengthens relationships with existing suppliers and fosters trust in new collaborations.
I love you-calls
To maintain a close relationship with our suppliers, we hold virtual check-ins between in-person meetings. We call them ”I love you-calls”.
We set demands on the standard
Companized is a member of SEDEX, because we set demands on our tier 1 suppliers to have a social audit according to SMETA, Amfori BSCI, or SA 8000.
Social audits are part of our risk assessment process. They also serve as a tool to help ensure our products are manufactured under conditions that meet international standards for workers’ rights and social responsibility, based on conventions from the ILO, OECD, and the UN.
